Hi All,
is there a possibility to get the ciscoworks license key from the unix prompt? A script or database e.g.
I have updated to LMS 2.5.1 with the new license key but RME is still asking for the old key.
Thanks in advance

There was no license key in LMS 2.2...is LMS 2.5.1 asking to validate from a previous server or cd's?

For time savings sake when installing licenses on multiple servers at different sites, can we validate with an ISO image of the LMS 2.2 CD (CDONE only, IIRC?) mounted via "lofiadm", instead of going to each server and physically inserting the CD?
Also, is it important to preserve the original file name of the LMS 2.5/2.6 license file, such as "LMSxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx.lic"?
Finally, can a license generated for the LMS 2.5 upgrade kit be used with an LMS 2.6 upgrade kit installation, or vice versa?

I have had it validate from an ISO image, but doesn't work 100% of the time as its not a true validation method. The best methods are either an actual CD or another server with LMS 2.2 installed.
Its very important to preserve the original .lic file as you received it.
If you are upgrading to LMS 2.6 from 2.5 then it will keep the same license.
For every new install on a server you will need a license.
