Dear friends

I have a 3 layer network with 2960-3750-6509 switch, with inter-vlan routing on 3750 switches and l3 traffic between 3750 switches and 6509,in this network campus manage cant discover my network ,i tried 6509 loopback ip add and any address bus i only finds 1 switch.

Hi Behfar,

the CM utilizes CDP for discovery. Be sure you have CDP configured and no firewall between the devices. CDP is a Layer 2 protocol and therefore stops distribution at a firewall.

For further questions the CM Version and maybe the OS version might be helpful.

Does the output of show cdp neighbors on the 6509 show the other 2 switches? If so, then you might want to try walking objects in the CISCO-CDP-MIB to see if it also shows them.

If it does and snmp is configured properly all devices should show up in CM.
