Hi All,
I've got a number of 2811 routers with e1 WICs connecting to PBXs. I was wanting to run a debug on the channel but the debug isdn option is not even there. I see someone else was having a problem as well. The Bug Toolkit suggested that there may have been a problem in earlier versions but fixed in 12.3
My routers are running 12.4
Am I missing something?
Are there any other ways to debug the E1 traffic?

Hi johncaston
Maybe you've got e1 VWICs, not WICs?
If so, try adding 'pri-group timeslots ...' command to controller e1 configuration.
e1 WICs won't be any good with PBXs.

Got it sorted thanks,
Because in my configuration the E1 was set with ds0-group timeslots and not PRI, then it wasn't functioning as an ISDN, hence no debug isdn command. In this scenario (E1-CAS) I should have been using the "debug voip vtsp all" command.

If you configure it as an E1 pri then the commands will appear. As long its configured as a ds0-group the only command that you can use is a debug voice ccap inout and debug voice dialpeer inout to see if calls are hitting the router.

Yes you're quite correct because it's a E1-CAS type call, not ISDN.
Another debug command to use is "debug voip vtsp all"
