I have a PIX515E running OS 7.2(1). It's configured with VPN server. We have a server at a remote location that's runninng the Cisco VPN client to connect to the LAN. The problem is that every time it connects, it gets a different IP address. Is there a way to make a static mapping for a host on the PIX?
Thank you!

Jack,
In your case, the easy way to assign a static IP to the server, is to define a new VPN Group and assign this user only to that group and define an IP Pool only to this group. This does not scale very well. For example, if you have 1000+ users, then you need to create 1000+ Groups.
If you are using Radius to authenticate the users, then you can assign a static IP Address to this specific user from the AAA Server.
I hope it helps.

Arul

Arul,
This way should work perfectly in my case since I only have one remote server.
Thanks for the info!
