OSPF MD5 password

OSPF md5 authentication passwords can be decrypted or can be used by copying and paste inspite using md5 algorithm which is same as enable secret

Is it a bug Please explain??

The md5 algorithm is used when the password is sent over the wire to a neighbor OSPF device. The password seen in the running config, however, does not protect the password at the md5 level.
