MFT-T1/E1 example config (voice and data on a single port)

I'm looking for an example config where you have a T1 circuit terminating on a VWIC2-MFT-T1 card, 6 channels will be for Voice and the remaning 18 will be for data. This is a CME router so the voice channels will terminate internally.

Never done one, but I assume it would be something like the following:

!

Controller T1 0/0

framing esf

linecode b8zs

ds0-group 0 timeslots 1-6 type e&m-wink-start

channel-group 0 timeslots 7-24 speed 64 (may need to be "channel-group 1" - not sure?!?)

!

!

interface Serial0/1:0

yadda yadda yadda

!

voice-port 0/0:0

yadda yadda yadda

!

Good luck,

Scot

NOTE: Sorry, should show up as:

interface Serial0/0:0

(not 1/0:0)

(typo)

Thanks for the reply.

Here's what we came up with. It's going in today so we'll see how it works.

controller T1 0/0/0

framing esf

linecode b8zs

channel-group 1 timeslots 13-24

ds0-group 2 timeslots 1-6 type e&m-wink-start

!

interface Serial0/0/0:1

ip address 157.130.244.226 255.255.255.252

!

!

voice-port 0/0/0:2

output attenuation 3

echo-cancel coverage 32

no comfort-noise

!

dial-peer voice 101 pots

preference 1

destination-pattern 9.T

port 0/0/0:2

!

dial-peer voice 911 pots

destination-pattern 911

port 0/0/0:2

forward-digits 3

!

dial-peer voice 9911 pots

destination-pattern 9911

port 0/0/0:2

forward-digits 3

Depending on what/who you are connecting to, don't forget to check clocking.

I did a similar config connecting to AT&T (at the time SBC) but with ours, timeslots 1-12 were fxo-loop-start and timeslots 13-18 were e&m-wink-start. (both were voice)

Good luck,

-Scot
