Applying ACL to Switch interface.

I have a Switch type WS-C2950T-48-SI with a software version 12.1(22)EA4-C2950-I6Q4L2-M.

In this Switch i need to apply an extended ACL to an interface for a PC that was just Added.

Now, i'm able to add the ACL's in global configuration mode, but when i go to any interface and try to give the command "ip access-group ...", but my switch does not recognise this command. When i give "ip ?" it does not show the command Access-Group to any interface.

Could this be an IOS upgrade problem or am I missing something?

Hi Kled,

juz upgrade the IOS & do, it works fine, since this IOS doesn't support interface based ACL thatz the reason it couldn't recognize the "ip access-group" command.

Hi Friend,

You need to run the enhanced image to support the access-lists.

See the link for details

HTH, rate if it does

Narayan

Thanks for replying.

Any hint on what is the code i should look for in the enhanced image name that would work with my Switch.

Regards

Kledi
