Slow access to local resources with Cisco VPN 4.0.2

Hi,

I am experiencing an extremely slow access to local resources when connected to VPN.

Sometimes it takes more than 10 seconds to open a folder in windows explorer.

I have the same problem in 2 different machines, my desktop and laptop.

I am using Cisco VPN client 4.0.2 with Windows XP SP2.

I tried the options 'enable transparent tunneling' and 'Allow local LAN access' with no success.

Does somebody have a clue on what the problem can be?

Thanks.

Try by upgrading the Cisco VPN client to 4.8 and see.

Hi,

I don't know if any of you came up with an answer to this problem, because I have the exact same problem.

I use version 5.0.01.0600 of the VPN Client. Windows Explorer hangs for a couple of seconds and then works fine for a couple of seconds and then hangs for a couple of seconds, etc. When logged on in Windows XP with a user with administrator rights this problem doesn't occur. Only when logged on with a Restricted user (Users Group) does this problem occur.

Hoping you can help,

Jeroen
