Hi,
I am trying to remove a snmp trap host from the "show snmp" output. It is not there in the running configuration. But it shows in the "show snmp" output. Is it a bug? IOS is 12.2(18)SXF5. Platform is 7600.

Just a quick idea,
try to remove ANY trap host from the config and verify the entries with "sh snmp"
if that still does not help remove the complete snmp config. This should reset the snmp agent. Now you should be able to readd the config you want.

The problem with the lingering trap host is most likely due to the fact that there is a still a notification wedged in the output queue. Unfortunately, you will have to reboot to clear this problem.

Thanks...I think may have to reboot the router...just wondering whether its an IOS bug?

This does sound like it would be a bug, but I could not find an existing one that describes this behavior.
