Adding failover pix to MARS

Hello,

I cannot add the second failover pix to the MARS - it says error a device with that name already exist. And indeed it exists, because it is the first of the failover clusterthat is added first.

Does anyone know how to add the second failover pix device to MARS?

Hi,

You don't have to add the failover unit, since if the primary unit fails tha failover unit would use the same IP addresses. Instead use logging standby feature if you want both units to send syslog.

From topological point of view logically the two units are the same ONE device.

I have similar problem, if anyone knows how to handle VRFs in MARS to get the real logical topology, or knows any useful ideas how to workaround this problem I would be really happy.
