Hi everybody!
We have installed a WLC 4402(4.0.179.11).
In an area we have 20 Ip Phones 7920 and this area is covered by 2 AP. When we look on the AP info we see that we have 16 clients on the first AP and 4 on the second... We would like to limit the number of client per AP. Is it possible ?
Regards,
Nicolas

yes, you can do that. With the help of load balancing feature, it is possible to limit number of clients per AP. I have seen some documents in cisco.com. But, not sure, where it is.

Wireless-VoIP is pretty complicated. Check the CAC settings under your SSID, and disable Aggressive Load balancing. Disable the lower-speed data-rates too, use only 11Mbps.
In addition, if you check out the 7920 deployment guide (http://www.cisco.com/en/US/products/hw/phones/ps379/products_implementation_design_guide_book09186a00802a029a.html), you'll see that putting 20Phones on just 2APs is really pushing it.

The 7920 doesn't support assisted roaming as hte 7920 itself makes the roaming decisions. Need to disable aggressive load-balancing as well as DHCP required for the 7920 WLAN, otherwise may hear gaps in voice as the initial attempted roam will be rejected by the controller. Also ensure you use 3.01 firmware for the 7920s as there was incompatibility issues with Airespace version 4.0.
