Gateway Dial-peer limit

We recently started getting this message on our PRI Gateway.

%DIALPEER_DB-6-ADDPEER_WARNING: Addition of too many dial-peers may affect performance

The recomended fix is to decrease the amount of dial-peers that you have. We have been doing this all along and have them as compresses as possible.

Does anyone know what the limit is for dial-peers on a 3745? I also have a 3845 with 4 times the amount of NVRAM, and wonder if this would be a better option?

dial-peers takes up about 6k of memory. If the gateway is over 80% memory usage then it will not allow you to add more dial peers. If you have another router with more memory this might be your best solution.

I do not know your topology, but an option is to create route patterns in CCM, if these calls are destined for PSTN. Then simplify your dialpeers to CCM. Let call manager do the call routing.
