Mac-Address Filtering

Hi there,

I am using a Cisco Aironet 1200 series Access Point in our network. We have enable the 40-bit WEP key for access. On the top we want to implement the Mac-Address filtering. So, I had created a Access list filter with 700 as the filter number. I had added some Mac-Addresses using the GUI. And applied the filters for Incoming and Outgoing traffic under the Radio0-802.11g. We have been successfully using the same by adding and deleting users.

Now, the problems is, recently I am getting a warning "Filter 700 was configured on Interface Dot11Radio using CLI. It must be cleared via CLI to ensure proper operation of the web interface".

After this Warning i am not able to add or delete nor view the Mac-Addresses to the filter 700 using GUI. But the users are able to access the Access-point without any difficulties.

Kindly suggest me what would be the solution for the same.

Currently I am using

Product/Model Number: AIR-AP1231G-A-K9

System Software Filename: c1200-k9w7-tar.123-4.JA2

System Software Version: 12.3(4)JA2

Bootloader Version: 12.3(2)JA4

System Uptime: 2 weeks, 23 hours, 40 minutes

I had attached the Warning screenshot in JPEG format

Awaiting solution

Hi there,

I had this semilar problem. Check the AP's config.txt. In the are where it list all the mac address, make sure that the last line in the list shows the following:

access-list 700 deny 0000.0000.0000 ffff.ffff.ffff

Everything else above this line should indicate:

access-list 700 permit "macaddress" 0000.0000.0000

I hope this help.
