Core Issue

After the IP address of the Customer Response Solutions (CRS) system is changed, one cannot set or receive Enterprise Data parameters. The Enterprise Server Data Subsystem remains in OUT_OF_SERVICE status. Other than this minor issue, everything else seem to work fine.

Resolution

To resolve this issue, perform these steps:

  1. Open a cmd prompt.
  2. Run IPUpdate from C:\Program Files\cisco\desktop_config\util, and update the IP address.

If the procedure fails to update the IP address, perform these steps:

  1. Go to C:\Program Files\Spanlink, and copy the entire folder to a safe location. Delete the Spanlink folder.
  2. Go to Registry, and copy the HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Spanlink hive to a safe location. Delete the Spanlink hive.
  3. Re-run CRS setup.
