Core Issue

When the customer logs in to MeetingTime, the time is ahead five or six hours because their personal profile is set to London time when they are actually on New York time. MeetingPlace is clocking time from the Network Time Protocol (NTP) servers.

This is the detailed log for the configuration:

1) View the server and site configuration.

2) Modify the server configuration.

3) Select another server (current unit = #0).

Resolution

To resolve this issue, change the profile time zone from London and Europe time to America and New York time.

Perform these steps:

  1. Log in to MeetingTime.
  2. From the File menu, select Options > Preferences.
  3. From Find Profiles, click the magnifying glass icon and search for the profile you want to change.
  4. In the Details window to the right of the profile, scroll down to the attribute Time Zone.
  5. Click the value to make the change and click OK.
  6. To save the new time zone setting, click the Save Changes button in the bottom right hand corner.
