The Universal Plug and Play (UPnP) protocol allows local devices to discover the SRP to control some configurations.

This document explains how to configure UPnP on the SRP520W Service Ready Platform Series.

Applicable Devices

• SRP521W

• SRP526W

• SRP527W

Configure UPnP

Step 1. Using a web browser, go to the device's IP address and choose Network Setup > UPnP.

Step 2. To enable UPnP click the Enabled radio button across from UPnP.

Step 3. Features can be enabled or disabled to customize how UPnP is used. Enable any of the options desired.

• Allow Users to Configure — Local clients can use UPnP to change the SRP configuration when enabled.

• Keep UPnP Configurations After System Reboot — The SRP saves the configuration changes made by clients over a system reboot when enabled.

• Allow Users to Disable Internet Access — Local clients are allowed to enable or disable the SRP Internet connection through UPnP when enabled.

Step 4. Click Submit to save and apply the changes.
