Port mirroring sends copies of data packets that enter and exit on one port to another port. The ISA500 Series Integrated Security Appliance monitors specific ports for transmitted and received data. When data is transmitted and received on these monitored ports, the device sends a copy of the data to a destination port also on the device. Port mirroring helps to debug and monitor traffic on a network. This article explains how to configure port mirroring settings on ISA500 Series Integrated Security Appliances.
