Dynamic DNS (DDNS) is a way to automatically update name servers on a DNS in real time. This article explains how to configure DDNS on a Cisco PVC300 PTZ Internet Camera.
Step 1. In the Internet Camera configuration utility, choose Setup > Applications > DDNS. The DDNS page opens:
Step 2. Check Enable DDNS.
Step 3. In the Service Provider drop-down list, choose your DDNS service provider.
•Dyndns.org (Dynamic) — This sets the DDNS service provider to Dyndns.org. Select this if you have DynDNS Pro.
•Dyndns.org (Custom) — This also sets the DDNS service provider to Dyndns.org. Select this if you have DynDNS Standard, Enterprise Lite, or Enterprise.
•3322.org — This sets the DDNS service provider to 3322.org.
•TZO.com — This sets the DDNS service provider to TZO.com.
Step 4. In the Host Name field, enter the host name that is registered to the DDNS server.
Step 5. In the Account field, enter the account user name or e-mail address that is used to log into the DDNS server.
Step 6. In the Password field, enter the account password used to log into the DDNS server.
Step 7. Click Save to save the DDNS settings or Cancel to discard the settings.
