Objective

DNS Name Look-up is a diagnostic tool to retrieve IP address for the given host name. This article explains how to run the DNS Name Look-up on a RVL200 VPN Routers.

Applicable Device

• RVL200

DNS Name Lookup

Step 1. Use the Router Configuration Utility to choose System Management > Diagnostic.The Diagnostics page opens.

Note: IP address of the DNS server should be configured in the WAN Network Setting in order to run the DNS name look-up feature.

Step 2. Click the DNS Name Lookup radio button.

Step 3. Enter the host name in the Look up the name field and click Go to retrieve the IP address of the given host name.

Note: Do not include http:// in front of the host name.
