Routing Information Protocol (RIP) is an Interior Gateway Protocol (IGP) that is commonly used in internal networks. It enables the router to exchange its routing information automatically with other routers, and allows it to dynamically adjust the routing tables and adapt to changes in network.
The objective of this document is to show you how to configure Dynamic Routing configuration using RIP on SRP520 Series.
Step by Step Procedures
Step 1. In the services ready platform configuration utility choose Network Setup > RIP.
Step 2. The default settings in RIP is disabled.
• Enable — To enable RIP choose the Enabled radio button.
Step 3. Once the RIP is enabled, select the RIP version.
Step 4. Select the timeout values as defined in the RIP settings table.
Step 5. Click Submit to save the settings.
