Device Summary Information on RVS4000 VPN Router

Objective

The Device Summary page allows the user to have access to the basic information about the router. Information such as system information, port statistics, network settings and firewall settings can be accessed from the summary.

This document explains the Device Summary Information on RVS4000 VPN Router.

Applicable Device

• V2.0.3.2

Device Summary Information

Step 1. Log in to the web configuration utility and choose Setup > Summary. The Summary page opens:

System Information Status

• Firmware Version — Displays the current version of the firmware installed in the device.

• CPU — Displays the type of  RVS4000 processor.

• System up time — Displays the length of the time that the RVS4000 is active since the router was last reset.

• DRAM — Displays the size of DRAM in the router.

• Flash — Displays the amount of Flash memory in the router.

Port Statistics

 

• Port Statistics — Displays the color-coded status information of Ethernet ports on the device. If the port is Green, it indicates that port is connected. If the port is black, it indicates that the port is disconnected.

Network Setting Status

• LAN IP — Displays the IP address of the LAN interface of the router. If you click on the LAN IP hyperlink, it redirects to the LAN page of the Setup Tab. To configure LAN settings, refer to the article Configuration of IP and DHCP for LAN on RVS4000 Routers

• WAN IP — Displays the IP address of the WAN interface of the router. If you click on the WAN IP hyperlink, it redirects to WAN page of the Setup Tab. To configure WAN settings, refer to the article Static IP WAN Configuration on RVS4000 Router.

Step 2. (Optional) Click DHCP Release to signal the ISP to release the currently assigned WAN IP address of the router.

Step 3 .(Optional) Click DHCP Renew to signal the ISP to renew the WAN IP address assigned to the router.  

• Mode — Displays the operation mode of the router. If you click on the Mode hyperlink, it redirects to the Advanced Routing page of the Setup Tab. To configure advanced routing settings on the RVS4000, refer to the article Advanced Routing Configuration on RVS4000 Router.

• DMZ — Displays whether the DMZ hosting feature is enabled. By default it is disabled. If you click on the DMZ hyperlink, it redirects to DMZ host page of the Setup Tab. To setup DMZ on the RVS4000, refer to the article DMZ Setup on RVS4000 Routers.

• DNS1-2 — Displays the IP address of the Domain Name System (DNS) server of the router. If you click on the DNS1 or DNS2 hyperlink, it redirects to WAN page of the Setup Tab. To configure WAN settings, refer to the article Static IP WAN Configuration on RVS4000 Router.

• DDNS — Displays the status Enable/Disable of the Dynamic Domain Name System(DDNS). If you click the DDNS hyperlink, it redirects to DDNS page of the Setup Tab.

Firewall Setting Status

• DoS(Denial of Service) — Displays the status of the DoS Protection feature is enabled to block DoS attacks. If you click on the DoS hyperlink, it redirects to General settings page of the Firewall Tab.

• Block WAN Request — Displays the status of the Block WAN Request feature. If you click on the Block WAN request hyperlink, it redirects to General settings page of the Firewall Tab.

• Remote Management — Displays the status of the Remote Management feature. If you click on the Remote Management hyperlink, it redirects to General settings page of the Firewall Tab.

IPSec VPN Setting Status

• IPSec VPN Summary — If you click on the IPSec VPN Summary hyperlink, it redirects to Summary page of IPSec VPN Tab.

• Tunnel(s) Used — Displays the number of tunnels used. If you click on the Tunnel(s) Used hyperlink, it redirects to Summary page of IPSec VPN Tab.

• Tunnel(s) Available — Displays the number of tunnels available.If you click on the Tunnel(s) Available hyperlink, it redirects to Summary page of IPSec VPN Tab.

Log Setting Status

• E-mail — Displays the E-mail configuration.If the E-mail configuration is not set, it shows E-mail cannot be sent because you have not specified an outbound SMTP server address. The E-mail hyperlink redirects to the Log page of the Administration Tab for E-mail settings.

Step 4. (Optional) To update the Summary page, click Refresh.
