Hi,

for any of you that faced this problem, especially with the Switches: 3560, 3750 and so on, I would advice them to do the following before contacting Cisco, unless of course you got technical support and the product is in its life time still and you got plenty of time. Otherwise if you want your Switch up and running in the next few hours, just follow the steps below.

For this operation I've used Tera Term but you might use another terminal emulator too.

1) Go to ROMMON Mode first. Power on your Switch and keep the "Mode" button pressed for few seconds usually, but you can keep it for more until you see this output:

This is telling you that you're in the ROMMON Mode. So from here all you want to do is to delete you're existing IOS image or if you have enough memory on Flash, then just install the new one, I will strongly advice you to downgrade a bit the version, it also depends of the model of your Switch and the capabilities.

2) So in case you want to delete your existing IOS image because of the memory, follow these steps:

switch: delete flash:c3560-ipservicesk9-mz.122-55.SE10.bin

Are you sure you want to delete "flash:c3560-ipservicesk9-mz.122-55.SE10.bin" (y/n)?y
File "flash:c3560-ipservicesk9-mz.122-55.SE10.bin" deleted

Then all you need to do is to upload a new IOS image (a older version would be advisable but you can also try the same IOS version as long as you're confident that it's not corrupted, and it should work). Keep in mind you need to have a console connection to your Switch, it does work on TFTP also if you got and IP configured on your Switch and If you had connectivity before your Switch messed up the stuff.

3) Copying the IOS image from your Laptop: It would take a while, 3 hours roughly because of the speed, but you should keep the bit rate to the normal speed of 9600 bps and you'll be fine.

Begin the Xmodem or Xmodem-1K transfer now...C

4) Then you need to choose your IOS image location. Tera Term: File, Tranfer, XMODE, Send -> and choose IOS image location. Then you'll see a little window popping up saying that you transfer has started and the following output on the Switch:

5) The las step, boot your Switch from the IOS image you've just installed on it with the following command: 

switch: boot flash:c3560-ipservicesk9-mz.122-55.SE10.bin
