Core Issue

If different packet marking schemes are used in different parts of a VoIP network, then it is necessary to be able relate the values to each other to ensure consistent QoS characteristics across the network.

Resolution

This table compares QoS values for IP precedence, Differentiated Services Code Point (DSCP) and Multiprotocol Label Switching (MPLS) Experimental (EXP) values along with standard values used in Cisco IOS  Software for configuration. For an introduction to this topic, refer to QoS for VoIP.

Thank you for your comparison chart. I would like to know if there any practical usage of dscp values like 1,2,3,4,5,..63 (not include the AF, CS, EF, Default value). Why only some of the numbers are assigned for AF, CS and why other values still left in plain numbers?
