Core Issue

Need assistance determining the 340 series and 350 series product differences.

Resolution

The differences between the 340 and 350 series Cisco Aironet products are few in number, but may have a significant effect on your use of the products.

  • The 340 series radio transmit power is 30mW, while the 350 radios transmit at 100mW, thus providing greater effective range.

  • 350 series Access Points (APs) and bridges support inline power, provided either by a powered switch port or by an ethernet power injector, allowing for deployment in more varied locations without being dependant on a nearby power outlet.
