Determine if WEP is supported on client adapter
Resolution
Verify that your card supports Wired Equivalent Privacy (WEP) by checking the model number; if you have an AIR-PCM340, AIR-PCI340, or AIR-ISA340, there is no WEP option.
If you are trying to enable 128-bit WEP encryption, verify that it is supported. The data sheets for the Cisco Aironet Wireless 340 Series and 350 Series products provide information on supported encryption key lengths.
The data sheet of specific model numbers for products also give WEP capable information.
For instructions on configuring WEP on the client adapters, refer to the manual appropriate to the client PC operating system.
Note: If you plan to create a 128-bit WEP link, please note that Cisco does not guarantee interoperability with other vendors' implementations of 128-bit WEP.
