How to verify that server groups are up in Call Session Control Platform (CSCP 2.0 and CSCP 3.0)

Core Issue

Monitoring connectivity between elements such as Edge Proxy (EP) and Service Engine (SE), which are configured as server groups.

Resolution

To verify server groups are up, perform these steps:

  1. Connect to the EP and SE through Telnet by issuing the $ telnet localhost 8070 command.

  2. Change to context route-mgmt. For example, dsse>context route-mgmt.

  3. Issue the sg-element-status command to find if the status is marked as up or down. This is an example:

dsse>sg-element-status

sg-element -s sipp1.srv-grp -i IP -p PORT -t UDP -q 1.0 -status up

sg-element -s sipp1.srv-grp -i IP -p PORT -t UDP -q 1.0 -status down
