This problem occurs because the annunciator is barging in on user conversations and preventing the IP phone user from hearing the external party. This is documented in Cisco bug ID: CSCeg10450.
To resolve this problem, perform one of these steps:
- Do not pick up the handset and press the Resume softkey simultaneously. (OR)
- To upgrade Cisco CallManager to 4.0(1)SR2, refer to Software Download-Cisco CallManager Version 4.0.
