Hi,
I'd like to set a connection between my home computer (Windows 7) and router (firmware 1.6.x.x.)  in different location.
Is it possible to get new client software or where can I find one.

Regards,

I'm guessing you are talking about using the Qvpn to tunnel into the RV082. At this point Windows 7 isn't support but i can say i have it working on a windows 7 machine.(details= you have to make sure to run Qvpn in compatibility mode )(vista service pack 2)(Firewall has to be enable)(You also can't use a DNS name in the program--Windows 7 doesn't allow the Qvpn to do a reverse DNS properly). Again i have had Qvpn working with these settings.

If you are working on a Windows 64 bit OS, Qvpn will not work.On another note if you are using a 64 Bit OS, you can enable the PPTP server on the RV082 so that you can use the vpn installed in windows OS.Under the vpn tab, all the way over to the right(PPTP Server)(enable)(set the user name and password).

This will give you the ability to use PPTP client install in windows ( 5 Client on PPTP)

Thanks

I agree with Jason, if you are using 32 bit Windows 7, I would try QVPN, as it would be much simplier to setup.  If not, you can try the following:

I have not personally set this up, so I can not confirm that it works.

Thank you,

Darren
