Can this software be used with CCME in an ISR deployment?

Alberto,

Do either you or Ron Lewis have a doc that compares the SCC Advanced Client and the SCC Operator console?  I have a potential customer that thinks they need 10 operator consoles, and I'd like to compare the apps to differentiate features.

I also am aware that the Adv Cli and the Oper Console cannot be installed on the same PC, is that "in part" because you would not need to do this as the Oper Console has a superset of features compared to the Adv Cli?

Thank you in advance.

John

Hi John;

These are two different products. On cisco.com (login) you will find the at a glance document for Smart CallConnector. It explains all products. In a nutshell, Operator Console is for receptionist positions only, whereas the Advanced Client is for individual employees (click to dial, IM, etc).

Alberto

Hi All,

I have already asked this question however I will make another attempt.

We have a potential customer who is operating in a Citrix environment and would like to include the Smart Call Connector Suite to the UC500 proposal.

This environment is currently not supported however I would like to know if it is on the roadmap as this limitation is possibly a deal breaker.

Many Thanks

Steve

I received an email from Cisco yesterday that the Smart CallConnector software has been updated. When will the new release be posted on the file exchange?

Thanks,

Ryan

Hi Steve;

Unfortunately no. SCC has limitations to work with SIP phones. 8941 is planned for next release (already available on a release candidate), but without SCC support.

Hi Alberto,

Can you please share timeline for next release.

Regards,

Steve

BEWARE - The upgrade for the client on the "File Exchange" site labeled "Upgrade_Cisco_SCC_Advanced_2.0_to_2.1.012_OL_x32.exe" is not an upgrade to 2.1 - it downgrades to 2.0.9
