Special thanks to Alex McDonald for sharing his favorite tip:
My favorite tip is the ‘write default’ command on autonomous wireless access points, it simplifies manual conversion of a WAP with a static ip address to a LAP with a DHCP address.
This saved a lot of time when we were migrating a couple of hundred access points. Originally we tried issuing the ‘write erase’ command but then the device keeps its existing static IP address. Since we were migrating the WAPs from a management vlan across to an access point vlan it was necessary to lose the static ip. By using the 'write default' command it saved several steps.
Unfortunately I only discovered it existed towards the end of the migration.
