hi,expert:
there are the "sho inv" export:

NAME: "Linecard(slot 3)", DESCR: "Supervisor 6L-E 10GE (X2), 1000BaseX (SFP)with 2 10GE X2 ports"
PID: WS-X45-SUP6L-E    , VID: V05

NAME: "Converter 3/1", DESCR: "Converter Module"
PID: CVR-X2-SFP        , VID: V02  ,

NAME: "Converter 3/2", DESCR: "Converter Module"
PID: CVR-X2-SFP        , VID: V02  ,

NAME: "Linecard(slot 4)", DESCR: "Supervisor 6L-E 10GE (X2), 1000BaseX (SFP)with 2 10GE X2 ports"
PID: WS-X45-SUP6L-E    , VID: V05  ,

NAME: "Converter 4/2", DESCR: "Converter Module"
PID: CVR-X2-SFP        , VID: V02  ,

this case,i use the CVR-X2-SFP as 2 GE interface .there are two problems,
first, the light of the "Converter 3/1" is active, but the light of the "Converter 3/2" is not active.how can i make it active?
second, how can i use the "Converter 4/2"on the  redundancy Supervisor engine?
thanks.

Hello,

Regarding the uplink ports on Sup6L-E:

-          Single supervisor mode provides usage of all uplink ports on the
sup6L-E - that makes total of 2TenGig or 4xGigE ports.

-          Dual-sup in redundant mode provides usage of the first TenGig
only (or corresponding 2xGigE ports) on  each sup6L-E - Still that makes

2TenGig/ 4xGigE in total. The second TenGig and corresponding Gig interfaces
will not used in dual-sup mode.

This is the hardware limitation of Sup6L-E, the shared back-plane feature is
not there on this platform that used to provide all uplinks on Sup6-E.

In the following link, check the Figure2 which mentioned the above
information clearly.

http://www.cisco.com/en/US/prod/collateral/switches/ps5718/ps4324/data_sheet_c78-530856.html

This is one of the main differences between the regular Sup6-E and Sup6L-E.
