Core issue
This issue is documented in Cisco bug ID CSCsb99213.
When the CiscoSecure ACS for Windows is upgraded to version 3.3.3, the CSAuth process can crash on the ACS Windows server. This causes users to fail authentication.
The issue is intermittent and can occur several times in a given day.
Problems continue even when csmon is completely turned off.
Resolution
In order to resolve this issue, try these steps:
- Manually restart the CSAuth service when failures occur.
- Configure another username for phase 1 authentication (for example, MAC address or anonymous).
