Core Issue

The exact error message displayed is:

DBAccess Failure. Attempt to access the database has failed.Collect C:\install\dbinstall00x.txt for diagnosis

Resolution

Run the DBhelper to verify that everything is working correctly.

Check lmhosts file on all the CallManager servers in the cluster, and verify that IP addresses and host names are correctly configured.  This file is stored in C:\WINNT\System32\drivers\etc.

If this does not resolve the issue, use the manual process for broken Structured Query Language (SQL) subscription.

For more information, refer to Re-establishing a Broken CallManager Cluster SQL Subscription with Cisco CallManager.

This document applies to Callmanager 4.x
