About User Account Control (UAC)
There are settings in Cisco IP Communicator that require elevated privilege. In Windows 7 and Vista, users by default do not invoke applications with administrator privileges even if the user is an administrator. Refer to Microsoft UAC functionality for reference.
In Release 7.0.4, users with administrator privileges and UAC enabled must right-click and select Run As Administrator to change Cisco IP Communicator network settings. You can also disable UAC entirely.
