Our customer purchased the Cisco Unified Department Attendant Console license. But I do not see this as a plugin on the UCM 6.1 server, nor on Cisco software downloads. Also no media came for this. How to I obtain the installation .exe for this? FYI, the normal attendant console is a plugin on UCM but no the new departmental attendant console software.
thanks

Hi Daniel,
It's been awhile my friend :) Spring has finally come to Alberta!
This Software should have shipped with your order as it is not a Plug-in on CCM itself. You probably need to speak with your SE to see where it disappeared.
Ordering Information
The Cisco Unified Department Attendant Console is ordered on a per-department administrator (operator client) basis. A maximum of two department administrators are supported per department with 150 IP phones. When ordering, the first client includes the software license for the Cisco Unified Department Attendant Console server. After ordering, Cisco Unified Department Attendant Console software and licensing keys will be provided through the Cisco Software Center.
Cisco Unified Department Attendant Console Part # CUD-ATT-CON
From this good Data Sheet;
Hope this helps!
Rob
PS: It did snow last week so I hope that I haven't spoken to soon ;-)

HI Rob.
Good to hear from you and thanks for the quick response. I'll get in touch with our SE, as the software didn't arrive.
Is there any documentation on the department attendant console? I see the interface looks different than the old attendant console, so I assume while similar their will be some differences.
Glad to hear Alberta's warming up. Getting hot down here in Florida. It's the time of year that I wish I was up north lol
Thanks again,
Daniel

Hey Daniel,
You are most welcome! HaHaHa ...now you want to come North, where were you 3 months ago ;-)
Here are 2 good doc that will highlight many of the differences;

Hi Guys
Cisco do not ship media for the CUDAC or CUBAC products - you download it from www.cisco.com/go/ac (you'll need to create an account to login in to it)
When you come to fully license it (once it has been installed) you go back to this website - at this point you need a "LAC Code" which is something that Cisco provide you
Let me know if you need any more details
Thanks!

Hi,
Thanks for the above helpful information. I have downloaded the CUBAC from www.cisco.com/go/ac. However I do not see the Cisco Unified Attendant Console. From where do I download it? What I understand is that the CUBAC I have donwloaded is the server software (Cisco Unified Business Attendant Server) and I also need the client (Cisco Unified Business Attendant Console) part of it, am I right. If yes from where will I get the client software.
Secondly can I install the server and the client in the same PC.
Please advise.

Chandrasen

Hi there
in the zip file you downloaded, you will have the client software as well as the server software.
The CUBAC Server requires a Windows 2000 or Windows 2003 Server platform, so whilst you could "technically" run the client on the same machine, I doubt that you will be giving this OS to an Operator PC?
Also, bear in mind that if the Operator shut the PC down (and this is also the server), then the entire CUBAC system will be offline - this is why the recommendation is to have a seperate server machine
Thanks

Great,
Thanks for the information. I will start the installation of the CUBAC.
One last question? Should the server and clients be in a domain or not?
Thanks,
Chandrasen

That does not matter so much - the communication is purely TCP/IP to the CCM, and TCP/IP to the client. Usually, people put it in the same domain/workgroup as the CCM, but its up to you
Thanks

Hi,
After successful installation of the CUBAC, I tried to access the server using the following link http://ip address/Webadmin/login.aspx. Unfortunately I am not able to access the admin page. Any ideay why? Thanks

I had the exact same issue. Take a look at http://www.devx.com/vb2themax/Tip/18849
You need to run "aspnet_regiis.exe -i" from %WindowsDir%\Microsoft.NET\Framework\vx.y.zzzz\
and then it all works ok.

Hi, many thanks for the reply. However I tried to run the utility but I am still facing the same problem. I am running W2003. Any other ideas? Please advise.

Sorry should have added you need to restart the IIS service after running the command.
