unity 7 with domino installation error "Unable to encrypt note password"

I am installing cisco unity 7.0.2 with lotus domino as the message store. During message store configuration wizard i get error message "Error encrypting notes password"

This is worth a shot. I've seen this workaround fix this issue before:

Message Store Configuration Wizard was unable to complete since it gave me error "Unable to encrypt notes password" when i enter notes user password. So there is no MSCW in add/remove programs.

I checked the syscheck log and it says "lotus notes password not in registry". But i am able to log into notes using the same password.

What version of Notes are you running on Unity? You may also be running into something similar to:

Hi,

We've seen some problems with the Notes password encryption in Unity 7. I was cc'ed on an email on this issue not too long ago, and the engineer said:

"The issues with the password have been related to a GPO / account issue with the OS.

On 2003 they can use : 'whoami /priv' to make sure the backup and restore privs are listed. It can be either enabled/disabled, it doesn't matter, what matters is that it is listed. If it is not listed, then they need to add that priv then all should be good."

I don't know anything about "adding privs" -- but maybe you do, or maybe somebody else could fill in the details?
