7921/7925 3rd party AP

The Cisco documentation states that ONLY Cisco access points are supported. Will 3rd part access points such as those by HP, Aruba and Aerohive not work sufficiently/correctly? Anyone using 3rd party APs with their 7921/7925 phones?

Yes only Cisco APs are supported and only the ones outlined in the 792x Deployment Guides to be specific.

To clarify "Not Supported", this means there are no interoperability tests performed with 3rd party APs which means we can not guarantee 100% interoperability.

But if the AP is WiFi compliant then should have basic functionality.

There are customers that have successfully deployed 792x handsets utilizing a WLAN solution from Aruba, Meru, Trapeze, Linksys, etc.
