Good Evening. Sorry for the delay in response and thank you for your quick reply! I have been awaiting a reply, from my end users, on what they would like to hear. I was at the station last night, running calls, and every time someone hit the overhead page button, I got a little startled (so I now know where they are coming from). Because of that, I am grateful that you are able to change this!
They have not really come up with any ideas on what they would like the system to sound like. The old phone system (an old Toshiba monstrosity) played no tone at all. It went through a paging module that they would have to pick-up the phone, hit overhead page and then hit a couple of buttons to make some sort of noise over the speakers. Some people forgot that step and would just blow in to the receiver to test and make sure it is working before talking. This was a horrible method that they got used to.
I am thinking the best bet would be to maybe do something like 1 or 2 small bursts of dial tone (unless you can upload an MP3 file of someone blowing in to the phone (kidding!)). Is there any way that it may be possible to allow the end-user to customize the sound that it plays; without having to contact you guys? Seems like this would be ideal for some customers (including myself).
