BGP transit anaunce do not pass thru AS

One of our customers start to anaunce us its own /23 prefix via BGP

We get it via neig pref-list in & see it in global bgp-table on our router, but when we try to anaunce it to one of our uplinks - we dont see it in adv-routes.

Trying to advertise prefix via neig pref list & filter-list as-path syntax :

permit ^$
permit ^ASNUM$

No result.

So, where can be a problem ?

Please share "show ip bgp <prefix>" along with your route-map/prefix-list toward uplink peer.

I've got it work.

Just change as-path to

permit ^$
permit _ASNUM$

That makes anaunce to uplink like "PREFIX --- LOCALAS --- CUSTOMAS"

Check customer prefix. May be

Check customer prefix. May be it use ASpath prepend, for example: ASNUM_ASNUM_ASNUM.

Your filter was correct, because LOCALAS added after as-path filter.
