aaa authent none command won't work with as5300????

I am trying to use the "aaa authentication ppp default group xxxx none" so that users are authenticated to the radius server, but if the server is down then it will authenticate everyone at the router(the "none" command). This works on my as5200 and 3640's, but it doesn't work on my as5300. Any ideas what I'm doing wrong? Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance.

We need to know what version of code you're running on the AS5300 (is it different to the other working routers), plus can you get the following debug output when the Radius server is down:

debug aaa authen

debug radius

Thanks.

I am using 12.0(7)T. I am working on getting the debugs. Thanks.
