Having some weird behavior with a dot1x authentication setup and windows 2003 server, particularly x64 machines. We just upgraded to a 4510 this past weekend and have set it up like we have in 2 other buildings. We are seeing a issue with some of the developers machines especially the x64 ones. we have a guest vlan, and what appears to happen is that when the machine reboots, they do not authenticate in time and get put in the guest vlan. Then they authenticate and it appears they are authenticated fine but they are really on the guest network. Now I could probably turn up the dot1x timers so they don't fail to guest so fast but that was set to 45 seconds so that when a guest comes in it will fail before dhcp times out and they get a 169 address. We have no problems with the 800+ xp machines, and no problems with 2003 machines that we hand out dynamic vlans to. Just wondered if anyone has ran into this out there. Thanks!!
