acs 4.1 appliance and authentication of cisco 1200 access points.

Hi,

Our company has 17 access points (1200) connected in our meeting rooms. Recently we purchased an ACS appliance to authenticate this access points. I would like to do this using uername&password(local database) and mac address authentication. is t possible ? or whether I have to use a certification server for this purpose.? Configuring each access point with certicates is a difficult task .one engineer told me that cisco acs appliance dosent support username password and mac address combination. please clarify. If there is a documentation for this please referto the same too.

Regards

pradeep

This document explains how to enable TACACS Plus (TACACS+) services on a Cisco Aironet Access Point (AP) in order to perform login authentication with use of a TACACS+ server.
