ACS 4.2 and Aruba Mobility Controller

Hi,

I have recently installed an Aruba Mobility Controller and trying to authenticate WLAN traffic off to the ACS server, but using a valid 802.1x account the authentication process is failing.

Has anyone experienced problems?

Which version of RADIUS should I be using?

Is there any way to enforce the Aruba controller to use TACACS instead?

Any help would be great!

Thanks

Steve

ACS 4.2 and Aruba Mobility Controller

Hello Steve,

When authenticating Network Access (Wireless, VPN) we should be using RADIUS. TACACS+ is meant for Device Administration (SSH, Telnet).

How did you define the Aruba Controller on the AAA Network Devices? Did you configure it as RADIUS (IETF) under the "Authentication Using" drop down menu? Or did you select a different option?

Also, which error are you getting on the ACS Failed Attempts when trying to authenticate on your Wireless Network?

Regards.
