ACS Setup using CSACS-1121-K9

I have following querry in refrence to ACS setup

1 - Advantages or disadvantages of ACS-5.4 VM vs Using appliance

2 - can we have ACS-5.4 VM instance configured as primary and ACS appliance as secondary

Hey,

1- Performance on a virtual machine is slower than on an actual 1120 appliance because of the virtual machine overhead. Performance of a virtual machine increases when you increase the CPU resources.

VM can be built into your existing vm infrastructure.

No additional hardware.

Revival of VM is easy.

Cisco has declared EoL for 1121 ACS system and replacement for this will be CSACS-3415-K9  and what does SNS-3415-K9 is used for?

Its another UCS based appliance, pretty much the same deal as the 1121 but its UCS based.

In reference to your questions vmware gives your the flexibility of optimal server machine utilization as long as the hardware requirement are met for any deployment  performance is not much effected .

  and for second question yes you can use ACS vm as primary and appliance as secondary.
