AP1200 > ACS 3.2 for Windows > SecurID ACE server help.

I'm having problems with the last step of the above chain.

I'm trying to configure Windows XP to authenticate using SecurID via PEAP over a wireless connection.

I have the Standard Windows clients configured using the information in the "Cisco Secure ACS for Windows v3.2 With PEAP-MS-CHAPv2 Machine Authentication" document.

I now get as far as the ACS server which is consistently reporting "External DB Auth Failed", although the handoff works fine using a Cisco VPN Concentrator on the same network (Client > VPNC > ACS > ACE.)

Does anyone have any pointers as to what I might be doing wrong?

First off, you cant use any form of mschap with RSA.

Only PEAP + EAP-GTC

Thats the most likely problem.

The Windows supplicant does not support that type of authentication, I would recommend using a 3rd party supplicant like Odyssey client from FUNK software.
