appliance upgrade 4.0 to 4.1

we recently purchased two appliances with 4.0 installed on them. Are we entitled to the 4.1 software for free or does it have to be purchased? We have maintenance on the appliances.

Hi,

If by maintenance you mean SAS/SASU then you can go ahead and order it from the upgrade web site, but if you only have smartnet then you need to buy it.

Here's a quote from the release notes:

Cisco Secure ACS Solution Engine 4.0 customers with Cisco Software Application Support (SAS) can go to the Product Upgrade Tool at http://www.cisco.com/upgrade and request the service release kit for their Cisco Secure ACS Solution Engine. Cisco Secure ACS Solution Engine 4.0 customers without SAS should order part number CSACSE4.1-SW-MR-K9.
