Authorization in AAA?

What happens with authorization if a radius server that authentication is checking goes down? I have the option of local in authentication, so if I have the option of local on authorization, does it automatically roll over to the same account that I'm authenticated with? I'm afraid if I enable it, I won't be able to get in my router if my radius server went down.

Yup, just like local authentication as a backup you can have local authorization as a backup (and it's a good idea too!).
