Hi
We are currently running Cisco ACS solution engine 3.2.3.11 and using a Windows Domain Controller as a remote agent.
We now need to upgrade the ACS to 4.1
1. Do I need to upgrade the remote agent on the Domain Controller as well?
2. Can any PC/laptop on the network be used as a Distribution server?
3. After an initial backup and then upgrading to 3.3.3.3 do I need to do another backup before upgrading to 4.1?
Solved! Go to Solution.

You can use any PC in the network as Distribution server.

John,
Your upgrade path would be 3.2.3--->3.3.3--->4.1.1
You need to upgrade both remote agent and appliance else it wont communicate.
It is always better to have a most recent backup handy , just incase something goes wrong.
I have attached the upgrade steps.
Regards,
~JG
