Cisco ISE 1.2 AD Integration Error

I have a fresh install of Cisco on a VM. I cant seem to join it to the Active Directory. It gives a message that says "Cannot Reach ISE Node" in the section where its supposed to show "Not Joined to the Domain".  On further Examination i also noticed that i cannot download logs. it gives me an error that reads "Cannot Reach ISE Node".

Can someone please tell me what could be the possible cause of this error and how it can be resolved.

I have licences already installed added on the ISE Node. Re-imaging it will not be a good idea i guess.

Re: Cisco ISE 1.2 AD Integration Error

Hi Ibrahim,

If seen this in my lab as well. In my lab it was because the VM was defined as linux 32 bit instead of the required red hat enterprise linux 5 (64 bit). Please check to verify your VM.

Re: Cisco ISE 1.2 AD Integration Error

I'd like to confirm if the required changes in the VM server were

made, as there are a few changes in the ISE OS. The changes required are

listed in the release notes, under "VMware Operating System to be

Changed to RHEL 5 (64-bit)". Here's a direct link to the relevant section:

Other causes can be :-

certificate issue on ISE or not enough disk space.
