If you are able to login in to ISE cli then you can configure the steps you missing initially . Check the following link for cli commands

http://www.cisco.com/en/US/docs/security/ise/1.2/cli_ref_guide/ise_cli_app_a.html#wp2096421

i have tried all above links, those are all for when u start ise for the first time.

I can normally login to my ise cli and can see the running config,  but while i do   sho app status ise, it says ise is not installed.

Although this should be very easy to solve but there is no such intruction by cisco . i couldnt find any doc dont know why cisco has not included it

Imran,

You will have to reimage the appliance to get the setup prompt back. There is no other way to do this.

If you are getting console then type Setup command on the console and if not then you have to do the whole installation again. Please follow the instruction given in the below link.

http://www.cisco.com/en/US/docs/security/ise/1.2/installation_guide/ise_ins.html

can u tell me How can i get a consol connection to ISE ?   i couldnt find any instruction on this.

Im using cisco ISE 3315

sorry i m connected to its consol but i tried typing "setup" but it is not accepting that command

First you have to  log in with admin username and password and then run setup. It would work. see the below link

any help plz ?

Hi Imran,

Can you login int to the device via CLI.

If yes then you can configure what you want on this device.

You can see the status of the ise by issuning : sh application status ise

or paste the output of  sh run:

Please also check this:
